Nye Beach Free Overnight RV Parking on the Oregon Coast at Newport, OR

Nye Beach at Newport, OR is very traveler friendly. The city allows folks in a car, camper van, or RV to park overnight for up to 16 hours. That’s super accommodating and super nice for Oregon Coast visitors who want to be near a beach—some parking spots are just above the beach with gorgeous ocean views—and have somewhere to park overnight without having to stress. This location is also nice because Newport has all the shopping you could want to stock up on supplies, restaurants (don’t miss Nana’s Irish Pub!), get errands done (I got my Jeep recall done at a local dealer), have mail sent to the post office general delivery then pick up, etc.

Many additional spots besides what I feature in the video

The video I took showcases the area around Nye Beach Performing Arts Center and the street parking that the apps all direct you to above the beach, which is excellent, but there are many other places to free park overnight around town. You just need to drive around a bit to scout them out.

Beautiful location GPS coordinates on the apps will take you.
A location I parked at on a dead-end street above the ocean.

This is the main area to overnight park, and a super nice location. Take a walk to a coffee shop, restaurant, or stroll on the beach. Nye Beach is dog friendly, so bring your furry family member and enjoy. 🙂

Cell coverage is excellent throughout Newport

This area has great cell coverage, which is not the case in many parts of this coast. There are dead zones everywhere which you’ll find out when you visit and try using Siri to guide you around. LOL.

I got a bunch of work done with my 5G iPhone and Verizon service, and watched a bunch of movies.
